Strategic Planning Creative Thinkers consultants have assisted government and non-government organizations in the strategic planning process, including developing mission and vision statements and goals and objectives; facilitating SWOT analyses (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats); and preparing next steps, deadlines, and responsibilities. |
Professional Education/Training
For several years, Creative Thinkers consultants (academicians, communications, and public health professionals) have taught numerous courses at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention University (CDCU), targeted to CDC staff members. Our trainers are experienced in adult learning principles. They understand how to meet the needs of busy professionals by making courses engaging, practical, relevant, and immediately applicable in the workplace. Our one- and two-day courses can easily be modified for other government agencies, non-government organizations, academic institutions, or businesses. For example, a course was recently modified for employees of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, CDC. They also can be adapted as shorter or longer courses or developed for a specific client or audience. |

Media/Crisis Communication/Presentation Advice and Training
Communications offices respond to a variety of incidents and situations, some of which occur without warning and require immediate attention. It is important to outline steps to take in advance of and at the time of each incident. By doing advance preparation and working through relevant documents each time an incident occurs, a standardized process can be developed and there will be less likelihood that things will fall through the cracks. Creative Thinkers can offer the following services:

Proposal Development/Consultation; Proposal Writing/Editing; "Red Team" Review
Many of our consultants have either served as Federal government managers and/or have managed government contracts and grants. As a result, they have extensive experience serving as part of contract proposal and grant application review teams representing both the government and contractor/grantee. They know what potential government clients are looking for, and how to give them what they want. For a variety of businesses, Creative Thinkers consultants have participated in a full range of proposal development activities, including preparation of “bid/no bid” analyses, strategic planning, writing, editing, and “Red Team” review of proposals. In addition, Creative Thinkers often teams up with other companies to provide the range of services and personnel needed for the proposed project. |
Recruiting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for Project/Proposals
Often, companies may have personnel on staff with the skills to execute projects, but the subject matter expertise is lacking. Because we have accumulated an extensive network of subject matter specialists in a variety of disciplines, we can help you find the people with the expertise you are seeking to bid on your contract proposal. If you are the successful offeror, those individuals can become part of your team to execute the project.
